Lisa Marie's Past Relationships
Here you will read about the previous 3 men Lisa Marie
had been married to.
I certainly don't want to focus on her divorces,
but they seem like such an important part
of her story since each one is so
important, whether it be personally to Lisa Marie
or simply due to their status in the
media and or Hollywood.
As a teenager, Lisa Marie became a member of the Church of
Scientology, where she met her first husband, Danny Keough.
At 20, Lisa Marie & Danny married on October 3, 1988 and
they divorced May 6, 1994. Danny is the father
of Danielle Riley and Benjamin Storm.
As Lisa Marie quoted in an interview with Chris Heath:
"He's my absolute best friend in the world,"
"The smartest thing I've ever done is have children with this
man, because I knew this is the one man I could
be connected to for the rest of my life."
On May 26, 1994, Lisa Marie married pop-music superstar
Michael Jackson in a private ceremony in the Dominican Republic.
In a July 2003 interview with Playboy
Lisa explains, "I never did anything to try and get publicity. I got
caught up in Michael's thing, which was manipulation.
I was like, "Fuck you people, that's not who I am. Why am I being
blamed for a publicity stunt? Oh, I'm Miss Aspiring Singer, and now I
want a record deal? That's why I'm with him?"
The marriage ended in divorce on January 18,1996.
After 2 years together, Lisa Marie married actor, Nicolas Cage.
They married on August 10, 2002 in Hawaii.
They divorced November 25, 2002, after Cage filed papers to
end the marriage, citing "irreconcilable differences".
Lisa Marie's interview with Larry King aired on May 6, 2003.
When asked what happened, Lisa Marie replied,
"We were both a bit - we're sort of these gypsy spirited, you know,
tyrannical pirates. And one pirate marries another they
will sink the ship basically is what it comes down to."
"it was one of those things where you're marrying hoping that you're
going to either stabilize it or it's
going to, you know,
accentuate all that was going on prior to what was problematic.
So it kind of did the latter, that's all."
