Lisa Marie & Husband Michael

Lisa Marie Presley and Michael Lockwood began dating in 2003. Michael started out playing guitar in LMP's band and being her musical director for the band. In keeping the show together for LMP's band, night after night, he made sure that everyone in Presley's band got from Point A to Point B on time. He's a seasoned "road dog" - besides Presley, Lockwood has recorded and toured with a wide variety of artists including: Aimee Mann, Carly Simon, Fiona Apple and Michael Penn.

LMP's "Now What" CD was Executive Produced by Lisa Marie and Michael. They collaborated to co-write "Turned to Black", "Turbulence" and "Raven".

In a December of 2004 interview, Lisa Marie stated about then beau Michael: "I can actually say that Michael is the first person I've really thought about this way, 'Oh, this is what love is.'
"I want to get old with him. I would be there if he were sick. I would have children with him. I adore him."

In mid 2005, Lisa Marie appeared on the Oprah Winfrey show and said Michael is "perfect" for her. She went on to say: "We'd already worked together for a year and we were on the road together so we already knew very well what we were getting into. By perfect, I don't mean literally. I just mean for me. Like the soul mate thing, the best friends, the whole—we do everything together.

In a November 3, 2005 interview with Mary Hart from Entertainment Tonight Lisa said of her romance with Michael: "I am the happiest I've ever been and I'm in the most sane, calm, best relationship that I've ever been in, for sure." She said they simply make each other happy. "I can tell you the most amazing thing is that we've been together for two years and there hasn't been one fight," she says, "which is a pretty big deal."
