LMFP & her Band
LISA MARIE PRESLEY has called her band LMFP -
standing for LISA MARIE F***ING PRESLEY.
Lisa Marie, daughter of legendary rocker ELVIS PRESLEY,
says the unconventional name started as a joke.
She explains, "It kinda just happened. I would sort of jokingly
refer to myself as that and
then a friend of mine got me a ring that had the initials on it."
"Then I did a radio show and everybody kinda just heard that.
I started seeing fans showing up
with LMFP T-shirts at the shows. It was just kinda one of
those things that took off."
The members of Lisa Marie's band are:
Michael Lockwood, Nick Lashley & Paul Gordon: Guitars,
Drew Hester: Drums, Danny Keough is the Bass player who replaced Don Boyette who played on the TWIMC CD, Linda Good: Keyboards.
Another mention of Lisa Marie & her band:
A black skirt bore a logo of her initials on the back, "LMFP."
The "F" did not stand for "follow," but was a
statement of frustrated independence.
In an interview, Lisa comments on her band:
Backing Presley up on this first tour is a six-piece band
that she said
has been
rehearsing to the point of exhaustion.
“I’ve got five guys, one girl and me,” she said.
“We’ve worked really hard and I think they are a great band.”
